BSA Pack # 444

About Us

Pack 444 has been serving the community for the last 50 years!  Pack 444 is chartered (sponsored) by the Channahon United Methodist Church.  We meet every third Tuesday of the month as a Pack during the school year to celebrate our Scouts Achievements and enjoy the fellowship of one another.  During the months of September through May we are goal oriented on completing Achievements and Adventures in our appropriate Rank.  During the summer months we offer several activites to keep your Scout moving and having FUN!

We follow the Boy Scouts of America guidelines as it appears in the Cub Scout Handbook—to LEARN & HAVE FUN as our Scouts grow into strong, independent citizens. Your son will receive age-appropriate lessons that the Boy Scouts of America have been teaching for generations. The most important lesson is that Character DOES Count.

As a parent, you want your son to grow up to be self-reliant, dependable, and a caring individual.  Scouting has these same goals in mind for him.  Since 1910, Scouting has been weaving lifetime values into fun and educational activities designed to assist parents in strengthening character, good citizenship, and physical fitness in youth.

We know that boys do not join Scouting to get their character built, boys join because it is FUN!

Cub Scouting is also a family and home centered program that encourages ethical decision making skills.  At every level of the program, goals and achievements are specifically tailored for their intended age group.  Parents play a critical role in a Scouts growth by encouraging attendance, assisting with their advancement, attending meetings for parents, and assisting with helping our Pack go.  Parents just like you run the Pack.  Each of our leaders and committee members has a boy in the Pack and has offered to help the Pack go; making the program as successful as it can be.  Without our parent VOLUNTEERS, the Pack would not run smoothly.  We encourage anyone to help out in any capacity possible.
